Senior Solutions Architect

As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will lead the technical data strategy of our sales process, working hand in hand with your sales counterpart. You will be a crucial technical advisor and work with the product team as an advocate for your customers in the field. You will help our biggest customers achieve tangible data-driven outcomes through our Lakehouse platform, establishing a clear architectural vision and identifying compelling use cases, helping be successful. You will grow as a leader in your field while finding solutions to our customers' biggest challenges in big data, analytics, data engineering and data science. Your work will help our customers make better use of their data to solve real-world problems, such as more efficient use of resources, renewable energy and even the development of the next generation of medicine.

You will report to the Senior Manager of Solutions Architects in Germany.

**The impact you will have**:

- Together with your Account Executive, you will form successful relationships with customers throughout your assigned territory
- You will help establish our customer's data strategy and their steps to success, with our customers and with our teams
- As an expert in the sphere of data analytics, you will be seen as an expert on issues of market usage of data architecture, design and implementation
- You'll lead your prospects through understanding the value, the evaluation and adoption of Databricks Lakehouse Platform
- You'll engage with the data community by leading workshops, seminars and meet-ups
- Together with your account executive, you will form successful relationships with clients throughout your assigned territory

**What we look for**:

- Proficiency in establishing virtual teams and leading them to ultimate success within the account.
- You connect and translate technical concepts to tangible business outcomes
- Proficiency working in customer-facing pre-sales or consulting roles with clients at different levels, from leadership to technical teams, to make them successful
- Experience creating customer-facing collateral and displaying expertise in customer or industry events
- Design and implement architectures within a public cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP)
- You have experience designing architectures with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop or Cassandra
- Comfortable writing code in either Python, Java or Scala
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent experience through work experience
