Upstream Field Application Specialist

We are looking for a **UPSTREAM Field Application Specialist** (remote) to be part of our expert Customer Applications Support Team of 8 employees across EMEA. Do you have a passion for supporting our customers? Then we would love to hear from you.

**What you’ll do**
- Actively support the sales process by advising in sales discussions, giving presentations and hands-on cell culture demonstrations for Cytiva´s Upstream product portfolio: Xcellerex/Wave bioreactor systems, microcarriers and the ReadyToProcess (RTP) platform
- Participate in and support global initiatives in education, consulting and technical support; prepare, execute and wrap up Standard and Custom courses, lecturing and hands-on lab work/teaching required including sterile working techniques and in-depth cell culture knowledge; contribute to updating and development of new courses, practical exercises and course materials

**Who you are**
- Educated in Life Sciences with University level, MSc or equivalent; with at least 3 years’ experience in Upstream processing in an industrial environment or 4 years as Upstream Application Specialist
- Experienced in research, development and manufacturing in pharma, biopharma or biotech with a focus on cell culture, bioreactors and filtration. You have extensive bioreactor hands-on experience on an expert level, preferably with single-use bioreactors; experience in cell culture process development, scale-up and tech transfer to single-use bioreactors for suspension, adherent cells on microcarriers and microbial fermentation
- The following skills would be of great value: Hands-on knowledge of Cytiva’s Upstream product range (Xcellerex-, WAVE-, Filtration-, BioProcess
- and ÄKTA- systems), additional experience in large scale chromatography is appreciated
- Goal oriented, creative, flexible, and well organized
- Sales experience is helpful in this role
- Team player with ability to work in multi-cultural environment
- Effective in communication and presentation skills; fluent in English and at least one other European language
- Must be prepared to travel at least 60% and up to 90% of the time, mainly in Europe.
