The Vodafone Tech Innovation Center Dresden is Vodafone’s new global center for innovation and co-creation with other top tech world-wide companies, universities and research institutes. The scope of this new hub is to improve peoples' lives by innovating communications and empower businesses for a digital and sustainable future. We use newest technologies such as 5G, 6G, Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics and Security by Design in order to build new products and propositions for health, industry, transport, automotive, agriculture and many more. Role purpose:
The purpose of the role is to secure and manage public funding for the Vodafone R&D center in Dresden. The strategic project Phoenix has identified that addressing public funding in the EU is important in general and addressing public funds is a key element of the Dresden R&D center. The role should also support or lead other public funding activities beyond the Dresden center. The role will oversee both administrative, financial and technical elements of public funded project by German ministries and the EU

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

- Identify suitable public funding calls, evaluate startegic fit with Vodafone functions and R&D hub and prepare proposal
- Organize funding projects with external stakeholders in consortia
- Manage funding projects from adminstrative and content perspective and ensure necessary reporting and compliance
- Mangage strategic portfolio of public funding projects and engage key decision makers in public bodies for setting up funding instruments. Lead team of funding administrators

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

- MSc level degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or Administration
- Experience in setting up and running public funded research projects, ideal on EU level and German level (BMBF,BMVI, Bundesländer)
- Excellent English and German writing skills and communications skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
