Your role

As a Senior Lead Geophysicist focusing on interpretation and geohazards, you will have the autonomy to deliver geophysical products and technical notes/reports for our wind farm portfolio at all stages of the lifecycle from feasibility, development and design through to construction, operation and decommissioning.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

- Represent the Geoscience team as a technical authority on geophysical interpretation and advise, educate and inform others within and outside the organization
- Plan, manage and deliver geophysical products to the development teams/asset stakeholders (desk studies, ground models, geohazard assessments and technical notes/reports)
- Manage consultants where necessary for the provision of geophysical interpretation products.
- Prepare specifications, technical notes/reports and perform analysis of geophysical data.
- Integrate geophysical and geotechnical data for development of ground models.
- Develop procedures and processes to benefit the department working towards standardisation of deliverables.
- Act as a role model for junior colleagues and help develop their skills and competencies within your area of expertise.

**Profile**:

- A master’s degree or PhD in geophysics or geology
- Ten years relevant geophysical experience (working for a contractor, consultant or developer) analysing data, developing ground models and producing technical reports.
- Experience in analysing the following datasets for the purposes of interpretation and production of technical reports and analysis of geohazards:

- Multibeam echo sounder data
- Side scan sonar data
- Magnetic data
- Single and multi channel seismic data
- Proven experience in integrating geotechnical and environmental data to produce ground models and ground truth interpretations
- Kingdom
- Oasis Montaj
- ArcGIS
- Sonarwizz
- Navimodel
- Proven project management skills and experience of managing multi-stakeholder relationships including with external consultants
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- The ability and willingness to travel abroad occasionally for short durations when circumstances allow (e.g. to contractor, consultant and other Vattenfall office locations)

The role will focus on desk studies, data interpretation, ground model development, geohazard assessments and production of technical notes/reports in support of development projects.

You will be joining a diverse, high-performing team of geoscientists and have an active role in the continual development of the team.
