**Product Design Director, Vinted Shipping**

The Vinted Shipping business is the newest addition to our ecosystem. We're set to offer sustainable and affordable shipping services to Vinted members as well as other businesses.

We see design as a crucial element of achieving our mission, so designers are represented at all levels, including senior leadership. As our new Product Design Director, you will be empowered to focus on people's needs.

When you'll start in this role you will be responsible for setting up a high-performance design function within the Shipping domain. This will include hiring, and establishing effective interdisciplinary processes. Longer-term, the challenge will be to effectively contribute to the growth of the shipping business by consistently representing our customers in strategic decisions, as well as meeting their needs by delivering usable, useful products and services.

**In this position, you will**:

- Join your product, design and engineering peers in the domain's strategic planning
- Deliver the user experience vision for the shipping business unit, and a plan of how we'll achieve it
- Continuously align the priorities, objectives and clarify how success looks like
- Ensure high-quality design execution
- Shape the design team in the domain - recruit, hire and confirm the team structure
- Support the growth of the designers, including conducting performance and compensation reviews
- Proactively contribute to improving the quality of design operations company-wide
- Champion Vinted design culture within the organization and outside of it
- Cross-collaborate with designers and partners from other disciplines and domains

**What we are looking for in our new Product Design Director**:

- An eye and passion for great design
- A customer-centric strategist who understands the business side of product design
- An empathetic team leader who cares and helps their team to grow through constructive feedback
- Experience building strong, collaborative teams and shipping great digital products
- A lifelong learner who continuously strives for knowledge and a deeper understanding
- An excellent communicator, including in written and spoken English
- We want people to work from where they're most comfortable, which is why we're using a hybrid workplace model at Vinted for the foreseeable future.

Hybrid means that we encourage working from the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and the remainder of your time from either home or the office, but it's not required. You're welcome to work from either location all or some of the time, depending on what you think is best and safest for you and how the Covid-19 situation is developing where you are.
