**Job purpose/role**

The Customer Protection Team in Group Compliance manages Allianz Group's customer protection (Sales Compliance) programs and provides guidance to Allianz SE and its subsidiaries to facilitates adherence to the respective laws and regulations (e.g., IDD, MiFiD, PRIlPs, TCF regime and others). This includes also coordinating Customer Protection topics with OEs.

The Compliance Officer will be responsible for selected Customer Protection topics and support maintaining the Customer Protection Framework with the team.
- Monitoring, anticipating and preparing effective approaches to Customer Protection trends and developments.
- Maintaining the Allianz Group's Customer Protection program, including the Sales Compliance Standard
- Advising other Compliance functions at Group-, Global Line, Regional and OEs.
- Monitoring laws and regulations (such as UN Resolutions, EU Regulations, and other national laws) and legal developments relevant to the financial customer protection, including amendments to relevant local laws, the implementation of national or supra-national requirements, as well as papers published by regulatory agencies and other relevant organizations.
- Monitoring developments in regulatory actions against other insurance companies, brokers and intermediaries and ensure these are reflected robustly in the Allianz customer protection program.
- Maintaining and updating the Group's governance framework for customer protection, including relevant policies and procedures and preparing respective guidelines and circulars.
- Reviewing and providing advice on activities relevant to customer protection such as sales and marketing activities.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Executing the governance and policy set-up for Customer Protection, Retail Risk.
- Providing advice and guidance to OEs in the areas of Customer Protection and Retail Risk
- Providing guidance to OE/Regional/Global Line compliance functions to ensure Group-wide compliance with customer protection requirements, to satisfy applicable legal, regulatory and best-practise requirements and emerging conduct standards.
- Reviewing and monitoring inter and multinational legislative developments and trends in sales compliance topics, including papers and guidelines published by EIOPA, OECD, UN and other relevant organizations.
- Ensuring that all developments are and remain appropriately reflected in the Allianz SE and Group customer protection program.
- Drafting internal and external communications
- Developing/maintaining training materials, identifying areas where relevant training is necessary and conducting the trainings.
- Identifying areas for improvement and providing guidance to implement good practices.
- Training of the local staff within the Allianz Group as required.
- Providing relevant input for BOM reporting, annual company reports and other regulatory reporting

**Key Requirements/Skills/Experience/Qualification**
- University degree in law/ business administration / economics
- Fluent in English and a second language (e.g. German, French or Spanish
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
- Work Experience in Compliance or similar business or risk managing function
- High integrity
- Project management experience Proactive and effective problem solving
- Excellent Organizational Skills.
- Strong people skills and able to communicate with colleagues from diverse background
- Strong Assessment & Interpretation.
- Critical Thinking Ability
