We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant (M/F/d), based in Unterföhring.

**Your Team**

At AGCS our Accounting department is responsible for the efficient, accurate, and timely production of AGCS’ financial information, that produces valuable financial insights for the company and helps to protect its assets.

**The Impact You Will Have**

Reporting directly to the Head of Technical Closing & Reporting, based in Munich, you are part of the Global Technical Accounting and Reporting team. You will be responsible for the insurance related positions in the monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements. Furthermore you will prepare the financial statements according to IFRS, Solvency 2 and HGB and you proactively contribute to projects and process improvement initiatives at a global level.

**Some of your specific responsibilities could include**
- Ensure that all assigned closing and reporting tasks based on international and local accounting regimes are accurate and performed in time.
- Make sure that all reporting internally or to auditors and regulatory authorities are performed in high quality
- Check and control the plausibility of AGCS global and local underwriting result including corresponding balance sheet
- Take care regulatory and Allianz Group accounting policy changes and ensure compliance with reporting and documentation requirements.
- Substantiate AGCS' global balance sheet and P&L and identify and review conspicuous entries and take required actions (e.g. proactive communication to relevant stakeholders, error correction and process improvements)
- Reconcile and resolve complex accounting transactions considering local and global standards

**What You’ll Bring to the Role**
- You have a degree in Business Administration, Business Mathematics/Informatics, Finance or Accounting
- You have strong experience in in P&C (re-)insurance accounting and ideally experience in financial audit and controlling
- You have proven understanding of insurance financial statements and their key performance indicators
- You have professional knowledge and understanding of relevant accounting standards and regulations (IFRS 17, Solvency 2, HGB)
- You have deep experience as active user of SAP BW with understanding of query and workbook development.
- You have strong analytical skills to identify and follow up abstract issues and root causes
- You are resolutely customer-focused with the ability to handle complex processes (in particular in the closing and reporting context) and have good understanding of data flows.
- You have advanced Excel and VBA skills to analyze and present data in a compelling way
- You are comfortable working both in a team and independently, in an international and dynamic environment
- You are fluent in English and ideally German
