**Responsibilities**:
**Compiler Development Intern (LLVM)**

**THE ROLE**:
**We are looking for a dynamic, upbeat software engineer to join our growing team. As a key contributor you will be part of a leading team to drive and enhance AMD’s abilities to deliver the highest quality,**industry-leading** technologies to market.**

**JOB DETAILS**:

- ** Location**:Cologne, Germany.**:

- ** Onsite/Hybrid**: This role requires the student to work full time 40 hours a week, either in a hybrid or onsite throughout the duration of the co-op/intern term.**:

- ** Duration**: 6 months**:

- ** Starting date**: 10-01-2025 (provisional) (MM/DD/YY).**

**THE PERSON**:
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- ** Contribute to a high-functioning feature team**:

- ** C**ollaborate closely with multiple teams to deliver key planning solutions and the technology to support them**:

- ** Work very closely with dev teams and Project Managers to drive**results**:

- ** You will contribute, develop and enhance our ML compiler by building custom optimizations and transformations targeted to ACAP on top of open-source technology like LLVM, MLIR**:

- ** You will code and test compiler passes.**:

- ** You will help to enhance our compiler build, test and development infrastructure.**

**PREFERRED EXPERIENCE**:

- ** You’re studying towards a Master or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field**:

- ** You have strong knowledge of compiler design**:

- ** You have strong C++ programming skills**:

- ** You are familiar with the LLVM compiler infratructure**:

- ** You have gained first experience with either using AI accelerators or compiling to an accelerator/ASIC**:

- ** You have strong communication and problem-solving skills, have a hands-on mentality and are able to work in a team**:

- ** You are an EU citizen or possess a valid work permit. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position**

**ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS**:

- ** Bachelor’s**degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline**
