Head of Pricing, Rides

As the Head of Pricing for Rides, you will play a key role in outlining our pricing strategy for the vertical and delivering the frameworks, models and tooling required to support the execution of this strategy. You are analytically driven and will intimately understand the role that pricing plays in balancing our marketplaces and providing amazing value proposition to our users. Your team will be responsible for ensuring a consistent pricing strategy across our cities and identifying the next hyperlocal opportunity.
Your effective communications skills will help you to synthesised model and platform requirements to our product team, whilst your exceptional stakeholder management skills will ensure alignment across key senior stakeholders in Growth Analytics, Regional Management and Executive Leadership to drive adoption of pricing strategies.
**Your daily responsibilities**:
- Lead a small team of analysts and work closely with our product team to develop the base pricing strategy and related tools to operationalise a standard pricing playbook across our ride-hailing vertical
- Collaborate with our regional growth analysts and country teams to drive adoption of the pricing frameworks and tools that you'll develop. One of your key successes will be ensuring close to 100% adoption of a standardised pricing approach across our markets
- With your team, you will consistently look for pricing optimisation opportunities to improve marketplace health or unit economics. You will do this through analysis of local case studies, which will involve launching and analysing pricing experiments to validate their impact
- You will navigate your team in improving the data quality and visibility of pricing across the organisation through better reporting dashboards for auditing pricing changes and easily understanding their impact
- You will use your stellar stakeholder management and communication skills to handle expectations and drive buy-in for our pricing strategy across our executive leadership team, Growth Analytics management and regional leadership
**We're looking for**:
- BSc in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics or Business. Solid understanding or microeconomics or econometrics is strong plus.
- At least 7 years experience in an analytical role involving large data sets, with at least 3 years experience managing small, effective teams
- Experience with pricing analysis and building pricing frameworks & strategy is required. Previous experience with marketplaces or tech company is highly desirable
- Experience in consulting, pricing & incentives strategy, growth and/or marketplace sector is extremely desirable
- Solid grasp of statistics and demonstrated experience with A/B testing. Experience with other experimentation techniques is a plus but not required
- Amazing SQL and Excel skills. Experience with Python, R or data visualisation tools such as Looker is a plus
- Strong collaborator with excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), experience working and communicating with stakeholders in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
- Strategic thinker, capable of seeing the big picture with an innate ability to work in analytic detail as required
- Empathetic leader who understand how to get the best out of their own team and other teams
- Fluent in English
