The Credit Risk Management team is responsible for the risk management of Munich Re’s credit risks.
This includes the development of the group-wide credit risk strategy and, more specifically, all credit risk management activities arising from investments, external retro and reinsurance placements as well as from all non-life or life/health reinsurance transactions that give rise to credit risk exposures. Furthermore the team is in charge of the methodology and design of the risk model for the credit liability segment as part of the internal capital model as well as the calculation of the undiversified risk capital.
**Your Job**
Working with the internal capital model for the credit (re)insurance segment which is used to determine the regulatory capital requirements according to Solvency II:
- Preparing data and information for the modelling process.
- Further developing the model to incorporate internal and external requirements.
- Comparison of results to evaluate the performance of different system versions.
- Further developing of result presentation (e.g. with PowerBI).
**Your Profile**
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree ideally in mathematics, economics or a comparable field
- Proactive and collaborative work style
- Good analytical skills and ability to think in solutions
- Very good command of English (written and spoken)
- Programming skills (e.g. MATLAB, R, Python, VBA, SQL)
Students from countries outside the EU require a German residence-/work permit. The first master's degree may not have been completed before/during the entire internship.
