Then we have a great opportunity for you As a Head of Product Platform Architecture, you will lead a senior expert team to define the architecture and the product requirements of our next generation AURIX, Traveo and PSoC MCU families. With your open-minded mentality you will pro-actively drive innovation in the area of microcontroller platforms based on your profound understanding of product needs and industry trends. With this position you will join our Management Career and be part of the leadership in our Platform Architecture and Innovation Department of the Microcontroller Business Line.

In your new role you will:

- **Drive the product requirements **and **define platform architectures **of our next MCU product families based on inputs from technical marketing and the product lines incl. appropriate documentation in close cooperation with your team
- Be responsible to **balance the product feature set and the key KPIs **(power-performance-area) to ensure competitive solutions for our AURIX, Traveo and PSoC MCU families
- **Lead a team of senior architects **, who are the key technical partners for the system project managers, SW/HW project managers and product owners of our product families
- **Define and conduct feasibility studies **for architectural explorations and evaluate solutions considering the impact on product cost and development schedule
- Across the product families, you **own central topics **such as SoC/SiP/Chiplet partitioning options, pad-package-pinning and other configuration options
- **Contribute to the definition of scalable architecture solutions **and you support the department management on R&D cost control and resource management within the architecture leadership team
- **Collaborate with the product development organization **and **central functions **to implement the architectural solutions in time by identifying **reuse strategies **among our MCU families
- Pro-actively **drive differentiating ideas and innovations **in the area of microcontrollers based on profound understanding of future product needs and industry trends

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

- A degree in **Electrical Engineering **, **Computer Science **, **Physics **or a related field
- At least **10+ years of experience **in complex embedded SoCs, microcontrollers or microprocessors, preferably in a leading RnD role
- A rich **hands-on experience in the areas of automotive MCU product **definition **, product/stakeholder requirements management, and product development
- Professional **people management skills **since you are used to lead technical teams composed of experienced experts and younger talents in cross-functional and multi-cultural environments
- **Functional Safety and Security **experience is a plus e.g. experience with development according to ISO26262 or IEC61508 and ISO21434
- Experience in guiding senior R&D and **product line management **, e.g. wrt. strategic direction settings and trade-off decisions
- The **passion of building up a high-performance team **and developing your team members
- Fluent **English **communication skills
