Research Assistant (f/m/d)

Full-time and permanent

Your key responsibilities:

- Application of CRISPR technology for the generation of genome-engineered cells (knock-out and knock-in) and their characterization using next generation sequencing, western blotting, flow cytometry or immunofluorescence
- Support establishment and optimization of cellular assays to assess the effects of CRISPR mediated manipulation for target validation and identification
- Design, plan, and execute experiments with a wide degree of autonomy within a team environment
- Support scientific project leader proactively in project execution with high attention to details
- Provide high-quality data consistently and document results
- Participate in developing and establishing relevant new technologies as needed

Your ideal qualifications:

- Successfully completed apprenticeship (BTA/CTA/MTA) or bachelor studies in the field of biological sciences with multiple years of previous hands-on experience in an academic, pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment or alternatively a master’s degree in a relevant discipline with proven experimental expertise
- Strong background and hands-on experience in cell culture, cell manipulation (e.g. transfections, infections), and cell cloning
- Hands-on experience in primary cell culture and/or molecular biology approaches for genotyping of cell lines is beneficial
- Sound understanding and experience in relevant techniques to detect the effects of cell manipulation (Western Blotting, Immunofluorescence and/ or FACS)
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent activities and to work successfully under pressure to tight timelines
- Self-starter and flexible team player
- Good oral and written communication skills in English
