Chief Data Officer

You will become CDO (Head* of Digital & Data) within the new Business Technology Organization (BTO).

You will lead the Advanced Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Platform and Data Governance teams within the Digital & Data department. This new BTO department provides resources to the three BT business domains (BT System and Markets, BT Asset Chain, BT Enabling Foundations) to support them with digital and data topics. You will act as a reference within TenneT and drive the implementation of digital innovation within the BTO.

**Your contribution to TenneT**:

- You will lead the Digital & Data department (+/- 50 fte), supporting strategic initiatives and bottom-up activities that fit into the strategic framework and business roadmaps from the BT business domains.

**Provide expertise**
- Act as reference in digital and data, supporting resolution of highly complex problems
- Lead trainings and supports development of specific solutions for several teams across multiple business domains

**Bring strategic support for the BT business domains**
- Provide a strategic vision of your digital and data expertise, providing direction on TenneT and TSO market perspectives for decision-making
- Support the BT leadership team in prioritizing initiatives, analysing results and action plans
- Work with the heads of the BT business domain on behalf of terms to remove roadblocks and identify risks and opportunities

**Perform people management & develop talents**
- Responsible for overall career direction and capability building track
- Develop and evaluate team lead performance, working on technical and management skills
- Support team development plans & objectives and monitors performance in people evaluation process
- Monitor and rebalance member allocation between teams

You define and execute the digital and data strategy to support the BT business domains and drive innovation. You focus on opportunities and actively model necessary changes in order to realise continuous improvement and innovation on the topic of digital and data.

- Have experience as a business expert and technical expert in the digital and data field

**Your profile and background**:

- You are a senior IT expert responsible for managing & developing digital and data teams and act as an expert in your field. You ensure performance and development of the digital and data teams, while supporting organizational leadership in decision-making and monitoring results, in particular through a strategic vision from your experience. Proven track record in successful scalable digital use cases with big impact a corporate environment. Experience with successful implementing data governance and bring an organization to the next data maturity level.

Furthermore:

- You have a degree in Computer Science or Data Science, or a clear affinity with these studies
- You have at least 5+ years of experience in a comparable job
- You are fluent in English, German and/or Dutch is an advantage
