Design System Architect

As a Design System Architect in our Mobile Tribe, you own and guide the vision for the design system and foundations that empower our product teams and squads to build high quality, well-designed software. Using your full range of interaction, visual and prototyping skills, you own the responsibility for creating a consistent and predictable look & feel for all our mobile products. You will be part of a team that ensures design quality across all facets of UI, illustration, motion, etc. for our mobile apps used by millions of clients.

**Your key responsibilities**
- Create and maintain a clear and scalable design language that guides our users to a simplified and goal-oriented usage
- Enhance and distribute our multi-brand design system incl. design principles, components and standards to ensure consistency between interfaces, components, and code
- Coordinate with product designers to ensure seamless integration of the design system into their workflow, improving efficiency and maintaining design quality
- Develop and maintain design system documentation to facilitate understanding and usage of the system across the design team and other stakeholders
- Deliver detailed design specs and assets to dev teams, verifying implementation quality
- Plan strategically as a partner with engineering, product and brand to define the future of design systems at DB

**Your skills and experiences**
- While you have likely seen design orgs at different levels of scale and maturity before, you have a high understanding of component-based design systems for digital platforms - including native apps in iOS and Android as well as web and other mobile interfaces - being the bridge between design and development.
- Great experience building and maintaining design assets and documentation for our design system with an awareness of responsive design principles, localization, and accessibility.
- You are highly proficient in Figma and other contemporary design system tools and have worked with multi-brand design tokens.
- You listen to the market and trends; the current technical possibilities and restrictions of Android, iOS and common web technologies are familiar to you.
- You know the iOS User Interface Guidelines and Android Material Guidelines by heart.
- You are fluent in written and spoken English
- Excellent presentation and documentation skills. You enjoy sharing your experience as well as spreading your enthusiasm
