Your Impact

The Production Planner is in charge of for operational production planning and ensuring a smooth production flow. This role plays a key part in delivery performance, capacity utilization, and process optimization through efficient scheduling, material availability checks, and close coordination with the Production Manager.

Reports to: Esteban Solis Venegas, GM of Kassel Operations

What You’ll Do
- Create and maintain production orders based on demand and capacity data.
- Check material availability in the system before order release.
- Book and track production orders in the ERP system.
- Analyze and address discrepancies between system and physical stock.
- Support operational purchasing based on predefined materials and suppliers.
- Coordinate closely with the Production Manager to align capacity and optimize resource planning.
- Identify and support resolution of material shortages.
- Evaluate and report lead times, order statuses, and production KPIs (e.g. delay causes).

Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning: Manage and maintain production schedules aligned with demand and available capacity.
- Order Execution: Create, release, and track production orders in the ERP system.
- Material Coordination: Ensure material availability and resolve stock discrepancies in coordination with warehouse and purchasing.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with the Production Manager to optimize planning and capacity utilization.
- Reporting & Analysis: Monitor production KPIs, delays, and lead times to support performance improvement.

What You Bring
- Completed vocational training or degree in business/logistics.
- Experience in production planning or control.
- Proficient in ERP systems (system-agnostic) and MS Excel.
- Structured, self-directed, and systematic working style.
- Robust analytical skills with attention to detail but not over-focusing.
- Solution-oriented and factual communication style.
- Fluent in German and English (spoken and written).

Collaboration with the Production Manager
- The Production Planner handles system-side planning and control - the Production Manager is in charge of execution on the shop floor.
- Daily coordination and capacity alignment to ensure implementation and adaptability in production.
- Clear role separation ensures efficiency and avoids overlaps.

Work Location: This role is based out of our Kassel office and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation.
