Your role

We are looking for a full-time Engineering Lead. You would take on the people management role of a cross-functional product team working closely with your technical lead to understand what the team is working on. You would partner with the product manager to ensure high quality software is delivered in a timely fashion. Reporting directly to the Director of Engineering, you would be essential in shaping the culture of the team and in ensuring our engineering processes are followed through the coaching and development of the engineers on your team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee execution to create high quality sprint deliverables as the scrum master
- Collaboratively improve frontend and backend best practices and processes
- Shape engineering culture for a cohesive team and engaging work experience
- Create development plans for engineers on your team and coach them for growth
- Track performance and create a high functioning and productive team
- Hire top talent to fill knowledge gaps on your team

**Profile**:

- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of experience working as a software engineer
- 2+ years of experience working as a software engineering manager
- Hands-on experience with most of our core technology stack: Java, React, Kubernetes, Docker, Mysql, Elasticsearch
- Proven track record of creating a high functioning engineering team
- Highly motivated and ability to bring structure to uncertainty
- Ability to work with and influence outside of your immediate domain
