Our Monheim facility is the workplace of 90 RD&E associates from 14 nationalities and serves as the European headquarters for Ecolab’s R&D activities. All research and development work for the Institutional, Textile Care, Food & Beverage and Health Care divisions in Europe is carried out here.

We are looking for a

**Working student (fmd) - **Packaging Engineering Platforms and Sustainability Europe**

**Your responsibilities**
- Support the development of the next generation of sustainable packaging/processes including research of renewable materials
- Define technical specification based on packaging performance requirements
- Specify and conduct tests on a wide variety of containers used for the protection, display, and handling of products
- Work directly with current Ecolab vendors and develop new industry relationships to source and implement new or improved packaging technologies.
- Communicate cross-functionally within RD&E and additionally to corporate functions such as Operations, Marketing, Supply Chain, Sales and Customer Service

**Your profile**

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Enrolled student in engineering (e.g. packaging -, mechanical engineering)
- Good communication & collaboration skills, excellent analytical skills and ability to work in team environment
- Good team player
- Demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently handling multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Fluency in English is a must

**Preferred qualifications**:

- Able to read and compare technical drawings and technical data sheets
