**ROLE RESPONSIBILTIES**
Applies electrical and electronic theory and related knowledge to design, build, repair, calibrate, and modify electrical components, circuitry, controls, and machinery to support a combination of fixed and mobile threat emulators including: AN/MST-T1A, Multiple Threat Emitter System (MUTES), Miniature Multiple Threat Emitter System (Mini-MUTES), mobile Tactical Radar Threat Generator (TRTG) system, and a collection of man portable Infrared (IR) simulators.
Shall be fully qualified in accordance with each mission system equipment management requirement, applicable Technical Orders, and/or Commercial Manuals to:
- Perform maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of radar systems.
- Perform systems maintenance and operations of range systems and facilities.
- Perform necessary diagnostics and repair of radar equipment.
- Replace components and wiring circuits and repair electronic equipment.
- Maintain maintenance schedules, spare parts, and equipment inventory.
- Support day-to-day operations to meet radar mission requirements.
- Perform occasional shift work to support operational taskings.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Must possess an active DoD Secret security clearance.
- Able to read, maintain, and update schematics and technical orders/manuals.
- Excellent working understanding of engineering practices including but not limited to:
- Soldering
- Circuit board repairs
- Understanding of RF and transmitters and receivers
- System and component level troubleshooting using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and other RF test equipment
- Able to use Microsoft Office Suite to document maintenance and repair actions.
- Experience performing system and component level troubleshooting using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, and other RF test equipment.
- Experience with ground radar, threat emitters, antenna positioning systems, and/or high power transmitters.
- Ability to live and work in Germany on a long-term assignment.
- The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.
- Must be proficient in using different technologies such as computers and other tools and systems pertinent to the position.
**DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Three (3) years of “hands-on” work experience repairing, overhauling, modifying ground radar and electronics systems; isolating malfunctions by prescribed systems checking procedures, visual inspections, voltage checks and other tests using electronic test equipment; accomplishing organizational and intermediate level equipment modifications according to time compliance technical orders; performing ground electronic system maintenance and corrosion control; ensuring maintenance data collection forms, inspections and maintenance records are accurately completed.
- Experience with the following systems is a plus: AN/MST-T1A Multi-Threat Emitter (MUTES); Mini-MUTES, Identification, Friend or Foe (IFF)
- Associate Degree or equivalent formal electronics training from: technical school, or military school in radar systems or electronics systems, and/or equivalent military training.
**TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS**
- Active Passport.
- Ability to travel up to 30% OCONUS.
- In all occasions, overnight travel may be required.
**PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT AND WORKING CONDITIONS**
Cambridge International Systems complies with Temporary Duty Station (TDY)/Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) vaccination requirements. If this position requires OCONUS travel (listed above), Vaccine Recommendations by AOR | Health.mil lists applicable current vaccination requirements by location.
- Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.
- Work is physically comfortable; the employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
- May be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.
