**Intern (M/F/d) Aerodynamics**:

- REQUISITION ID: 4812- LOCATION: Hamburg, DE- DEPARTMENT: EngineeringOne of the key competencies in the development of wind turbines is the aerodynamic blade design and optimization. The rotor blade shape determines the generation of aerodynamic forces and acoustic emissions originating from the rotor blade. Key parameters of the turbine as power output and noise emissions are determined by the aerodynamic team within the design phase of the blade.

**Your Tasks**:

- Literature review on existing wind turbine noise prediction methods and relevant tools
- Overview of most promising prediction codes (e.g. SILANT, NAFNoise) and implementation in inhouse python based framework
- Coupling of available aerodynamic tools (e.g. BEM) to generate input data for noise prediction
- Validation of new noise prediction tool with available measurement data and calibration of relevant parameters
- Report written for Nordex internal use

**Your Profile**:

- Enrolled Bachelor or Master student in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering or similar
- Sound technical overview of aerodynamic basics and rotor blade or wing design
- Knowledge on acoustic/aeroacoustic basics
- Proven programming skills (e.g. Python, C/C++, Matlab, VBA)
- Fluent English or German, other language skills beneficial
- Self-organized personality with the ability to handle complex technical problems
- Ability to work in a multilingual and multicultural team
