About the Role In this role you will be responsible for all aspects of M&A-Transactions at HARMAN. This includes executing M&A and Capital Market transactions from pre-LOI review through closing. Your Team This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports, but access and direction authority to project-related virtual teams with respect to the specific responsibilities of this role. You will report directly to the Chief Strategy Officer with a dotted reporting line into the CFO. What You Will Do - Lead and manage all aspects of global M&A projects comprising managing deal structure, risk analysis, valuation, due diligence, and leading negotiations. - Support financial analyses including valuation, pro forma merger scenarios, cash flow and liquidity analyses, returns analyses, through development of detailed financial and operating models. - Collaborate closely with the Corporate Strategy Team and the Businesses to develop business cases and evaluate synergy potentials. - Work and develop network with external advisors. - Meet with senior management of prospective targets to build the relationships necessary to facilitate an acquisition. - Build and lead cross-functional due diligence teams, including managing outside advisors and consultants. - Work with HARMAN’s legal department to lead negotiations of all documents relating to transactions. - Monitor financial performance of acquired companies relative to deal valuation models. What You Need - Master’s Degree in Finance or related discipline - Minimum of 7 years’ experience in corporate development M&A or prior lead execution experience in investment banking and/or private equity - Experience leading execution of large deals > $500mn. - Proven abilities with financial modeling and forecasting - Solid understanding of capital markets - Project leadership experience - Proven ability to work with senior management, colleagues, and different stakeholders. - Outstanding interpersonal skills, especially in the context of a highly global role - Highly motivated, able to take initiative and to multi-task. - Highly motivated with ability to multi-task and work with mínimal supervision in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment What is Nice to Have - MBA or CFA - Fully capable of developing and managing strategic business plans and development programs - Fluent in German What Makes You Eligible - Be willing to travel up to 40%, domestic and international travel. - Be willing to work in an office in Garching, Germany, or Novi MI, US What We Offer - Access to employee discounts on world-class HARMAN products (JBL, HARMAN Kardon, AKG, etc.) - Extensive training opportunities through our own HARMAN University - An inclusive and diverse work environment that fosters and encourages professional and personal development LI-BG1 HARMAN is an Equal Opportunity /Affirmative Action employer.
