**ALL ABOUT THE ROLE**

As part of this varied role, we're also counting on you to:

- Be responsible for the development and deployment of AI products on our Data platform in AWS and work together closely with our Product & Engineering team leads.
- Join the leadership team of the Product Logistics Data & Analytics team and therefore understand stakeholder needs and present potential solutions from a Data Science & ML perspective.
- Keep up with pioneering developments in relevant AI areas, share your knowledge within the team and mentor young professionals to build methodologically sound solutions
- Bring deep learning-based and classical machine learning solutions into production, for both real-time and batch use cases
- Lead the organization towards fully embracing MLOps methodology with respect to culture, standards, tools...
- Lead a team of 6-8 highly talented Data Scientists and ML Engineers.

Ideally, you're bringing
- A proven track record of successfully delivering Data Science solutions, using machine learning and artificial intelligence in a company environment and first experience of leading a team
- Experience in one or more of the following fields: Recommender systems, Regression Models, Workforce Management, Time Series Analysis / Forecasting, Reinforcement Learning or NLP
- Experience with Sagemaker, ML Ops is a plus
- Profound knowledge of Data Science tech-stacks, including major frameworks like NumPy, Pandas, sklearn, TensorFlow/PyTorch etc.
- Experience with one or more container-ecosystem (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Profound knowledge in at least one Cloud-Environment (AWS or GCP)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex solutions to non-technical stakeholders
- You are an active member of the Data Science community and as such have contributed to open-source projects, publications in a relevant area or been a speaker at conferences, meetups etc.
