Business Controller Offshore

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW IN A NUTSHELL

Fugro Germany is looking for a Controller (M/F/d) based in Berlin, with the condition to travel sometimes. Remote working possible.

The Controller will report to the Country Business Controller and support the Business Controller in order to ensure a strong internal financial control environment, providing business support for the Business lines and liaising with the Shared Service Centre, as well as with the Regional and Group teams in the Netherlands.

Aufgaben

**The Controller**:

- Provides financial guidance to the business, mainly for the offshore and GeoDin department
- Realizes the project Controlling for the offshore department in cooperation with the Project Controller in Netherlands
- Supports in planning, reporting, closing (according to IFRS) and controlling (prepares the budget and the rolling forecasts) in cooperation with the Country Business Controller and the Shared Service Centre and prepare the monthly reporting
- Establishes relationships and forums with the business, the project controllers, and the finance team to efficiently coordinate and manage end-to-end finance activities.
- Ensures that appropriate accounting policies and financial controls are in place, by driving and initiating process improvements and the proper documentation thereof
- Shapes the finance controlling activities with the necessary end-to-end knowledge within the organization and ensures that new ways of working get embedded

Qualifikation
- Master’s degree in finance and accounting, or equivalent
- 3-5 years relevant working experience, experience in project controlling is an advantage
- Brings experience from an international company
- Hands on mentality
- Basic accounting skills and good working knowledge of IFRS
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics / Navision or other ERP systems is an advantage
- Strong in Excel and MS Office
- Analytical skills and affinity with financial topics and project risks
- Proactive, accurate, and well-developed communication skills
- Strong communication skills, solution orientation as well as entrepreneurial and holistic thinking
- Team player
- Excellent command of English and German, both spoken and written
