Are you passionate about supporting innovation ecosystems through research, analysis, and technology scouting? CIC Berlin is looking for a driven professional to join us as Technical Expert, Innovation and Ecosystem Services. In this role, you’ll contribute technical expertise to client projects, helping identify emerging technologies, startups, and trends to support corporate innovation, ecosystem engagement, and strategic decision-making.

Founded in 1999, CIC manages more than 111,000 square meters of innovation-focused workspace, laboratories, and event space across North America, Europe and Asia. Additionally, CIC develops innovation-related programming, builds and enables industry clusters, and provides world-class innovation consulting.

CIC opened our newest location in Berlin in April 2024. The location became the third CIC Innovation Campus in Europe, serving as a strategic addition to our campuses in Warsaw and Rotterdam, and an integral part of our global expansion plan.

The campus spans 13,500 square meters and features a combination of large, medium, and small private offices and shared workspace, event space, and a range of shared amenities. CIC intends to build on the location’s deep commitment to innovation and bring our distinct approach to enabling startups, scale-ups, corporations, and public entities to thrive.

**YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WORK**

Potential responsibilities will include:

- Preparing research summaries, technology briefs, and landscape analyses for client engagements.
- Collaborating with clients to understand their technical needs and translating them into actionable scouting and research tasks.
- Monitoring industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovation ecosystems across various sectors.
- Maintaining and expanding a database of startups, technologies, and partners relevant to client needs.
- Contributing to client reports, presentations, and recommendations in collaboration with the Ecosystem Services team.
- Supporting the preparation and execution of client meetings, workshops, and innovation programs.
- Collaborating with CIC Berlin’s General Manager and Ecosystem Services team to ensure high-quality service delivery.

**ABOUT YOU**

We are looking for a research-oriented professional with a strong interest in technology and innovation. You enjoy analyzing trends, identifying new technologies, and supporting clients with actionable insights that drive innovation strategies.

**YOU HAVE**
- 5+ Years of experience in technology scouting, market research, innovation consulting, or a related field.
- Ability to analyze complex technical information and communicate it in an accessible way.
- Strong research and analytical skills across various industries and technologies.
- Familiarity with startup ecosystems and corporate innovation processes.
- Fluency in English (required); German is a plus.
- Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Hubspot), research databases, and Google Workspace.

**OUR OFFER**
