You will be working in a multi-disciplinary project team collaborating with internal and external partners as well as customers. You will also be developing new methods and algorithms for translating geophysical borehole data into relevant petrophysical parameters. Additionally, you will be supporting the commercialization of new products and services.

You will be responsible for:

- Modeling and simulation of electromagnetic measurements of our down-hole formation evaluation tools.
- Developing mathematical algorithms based on physics of electromagnetic wave propagation.
- Integrating of such into existing software environments.
- Researching and development of new solutions for our logging-while-drilling services in an interdisciplinary team.
- Participating in field data analysis and evaluate quality of current solutions, suggest improvements for performance and quality of data interpretation.
- Leading analytical and design activities using proven and new technologies as well as vested approaches and methods.
- Identifying specific needs, communication of project approach and presentation of outcomes of research done.
- Providing geoscience input to multi-disciplinary projects, from exploration through appraisal to field development and production.

**Fuel your passion**

To be successful in this role you will:

- Have successful completed Master studies in Geosciences, ideally Geophysics or similar fields
- Have excellent understanding and experience in numerical modelling and simulation algorithms of electromagnetics
- Have knowledge and experience in inversion problems
- Have good knowledge of geophysical methods, borehole log interpretation and petrophysics
- Have experience in data processing and programming (e.g. C/C++, Matlab, Python)
- Have the capability to identify effective problem and solution skills with the necessary proven analytical and organizational ability.
- Have self-motivation, hands-on mentality, and the ability to work on your own as well as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Have good written and verbal English skills due to an international work environment, and deep interest in working with other cultures.
- Be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills in an international environment
