Founder Associate

Utilities are the last trillion-euro industry still running on legacy IT. SMEs pay the price: they overpay for electricity while markets remain volatile and regulation keeps rising. Traditional suppliers are not built to serve them.

We are building Europe’s first AI-native neo utility: a digital-first platform that democratizes enterprise-grade energy procurement for mid-sized businesses. Backed by Merantix, Europe’s leading AI venture studio, we combine deep AI expertise with energy market know-how.

The founding team combines decades of expertise across energy, AI, and venture building. Felix (COO) brings 10+ years of experience in entrepreneurship and venture capital.

Joining Zeus at this early stage means working directly with Felix and the founders to build the operational and financial backbone of the company. You’ll make sure the right processes, tools, and routines are in place so the team can move fast and scale.

**Your role**:
We are looking for a Founder’s Associate (Operations) who thrives in execution and organization. In this role, you’ll act as the operational right hand to the COO.

You’ll own a diverse range of high-impact initiatives that shape our commercial, operational, and funding success. Tasks may include anything from improving internal processes, driving new go-to-market strategies, preparing fundraising initiatives or simply getting things done.

You will:

- Manage COO priorities and special projects, ensuring critical initiatives stay on track while keeping focus on core business objectives
- Lead a variety of high-priority, needle-moving projects from idea to execution to ensure we achieve our goals
- Capture, design, and continuously improve internal processes across the organization
- Explore and implement workflow automation tools to make the company more efficient
- Consistently execute on initiatives that drive growth while removing blockers to scale
- Partner directly with the COO on critical operational initiatives, including team scaling and process optimization
- Support investor relations, strategic partnerships, and daily business operations
- Spot opportunities to accelerate the company and collaborate with teams to bring them to life

**Your profile**:

- A generalist mindset: you excel at both strategic thinking and tactical execution, with a proven ability to deliver results
- 1+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment (e.g., start-up, strategy consulting, VC/PE, investment banking, or law firm) or a proven self-starter track record
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work across both quantitative analysis and qualitative strategic thinking
- A track record of being an outlier and top performer across multiple areas
- Ability to break complex problems into smaller ones and use data to inform your work
- Founder mindset - you treat every problem as if the company’s survival depends on solving it
- Strongly entrepreneurial: always finding scrappy solutions or workarounds to challenges
- Naturally curious and impact-driven, with a history of projects where you’ve driven real change
- Excellent communication skills in English; German is a very strong plus
- You must be based in or willing to move to Berlin
