- Scientific coordination of tower operations: coordination of technicians, data processing and analysis, quality assurance of data, and entry into international databases
- Representation of the sites in national and international committees, such as the German network of ICOS and the European Monitoring Station Assembly (MSA) of ICOS as well as in Fluxnet
- Supervision of BSc, MSc and PhD theses
- Teaching (6 SWS)

Qualifications you should have
- Completed Ph.D. in environmental science or related disciplines (meteorology, physics, geography, plant ecology, forestry, etc.)
- Research experience in eddy covariance flux measurements (required)
- Experience with data analysis in R, python, matlab, or other relevant programming languages (required)
- Scientific creativity shown by a track record of original and innovative research (required)
- Experience in supervising technical staff (required)
- Experience in teaching related to forest-atmosphere exchange processes in English and German (required)
- Driving license (required)
- Proficiency in English and German (required)
