**The Position**:

If so, you now have the opportunity to become Senior Legal Counsel to the Corporate Venture Fund at Boehringer Ingelheim (BIVF).
**Tasks & responsibilities**:
- As Senior Legal Counsel BIVF you will provide proactive strategic legal advice to BIVF’s leadership and investment managers and you will implement BIVF’s new investments by drafting, negotiating, and executing the respective investment documentation.- You will review and negotiate legal documentation regarding financing rounds for portfolio companies and provide legal advice and implementation support on exit strategies.- You will advise and support BIVF investment managers in their role as directors of portfolio companies, partner closely with BIVF's Investment Committee and collaborate seamlessly with BIVF's finance professionals.- As a member of the global BIVF team of investment managers, finance, and legal professionals you enjoy collaborating across borders and you select and manage outside counsel for investments, financing rounds and exits.- You will guide the BIVF on corporate governance, corporate law and intercompany agreement matters and advise on applicable legal, regulatory and compliance developments.- Furthermore, you will organize and supervise the corporate housekeeping in relation to BIVF's portfolio companies.- In addition, you will represent BIVF in selected venture capital industry or attorney associations.
**Requirements**:
- Qualification as Rechtsanwalt/Rechtsanwältin or qualified attorney with admission to the bar (2nd State Examination or equivalent), proven experience in an external law firm and/or as inhouse lawyer with international exposure in daily business- Strong expertise in Venture Capital (VC), M&A as well as Corporate law- Adequate level of strategic and business understanding, preferably in the pharma, biotech or VC industry, with the ability to provide strategic legal advice in the highly dynamic area of corporate VC investments- Experienced Legal business partner, well-versed in the daily handling of a broad range of legal matters relevant to the materia of VC, such as the handling and negotiation of investment documentation- Strong communication skills are key, as well as the capability of steering and/or leading legal matters in cross-functional and/or international settings- Business fluent in English
