**Job Description**:
The Microchip Systems division is looking for an entry level Planner to join the Planning Team. This Planner will be responsible for assisting with the development of the master plan to satisfy customer demand while carrying minimum effective inventory. The role will also involve working on systems and reporting to support the creation and delivery of the master plan. Strong collaboration with, Sales, Customer Service, Purchasing, and Management will be critical to meeting business goals. This team member will also participate in continuous improvement projects in collaboration with other sites to maximize efficiency and standardize process.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
This position will expose you to a wide variety of challenges related to implementing customer demands into our production line.

Requirements/Qualifications:
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Work closely with colleagues to learn processes, enabling support and backup of various responsibilities of the planning team.
- Schedule sales orders for assigned product lines and ensure accurate and timely ship dates are provided to Customer Service team. Drive to improve ship dates when they are not in alignment with customer request. Collaborate effectively with Global and Internal Sales reps to support customer expedite requests and schedule changes to orders.
- Assist in the Development and maintenance of the forecast for assigned product lines in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and other key stakeholders in an ERP environment. Ensure accuracy of data and alignment to customer needs as well as Revenue goals.
- Create/maintain work orders and process transactions with the ERP system.
- Maintain the build plan (MPS) and have direct input to the material delivery plan.
- Track and Manage Inventory levels for assigned parts. Identify and manage Exceptions like material shortages and quality issues.
- Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, purchasing and other internal partners to meet customer demand and achieve wider objectives.
- Participate in Revenue Tracking process to highlight Upside and Downside opportunities and actively manage to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with stockroom and production to ensure on time shipments to customers and clear communication to sales on ship dates.
- Recognize problem areas and drive continuous improvement projects and collaborate with colleagues at other sites and at other divisions to standardize processes and drive improvements.
- Manage Change Orders and Corrective Action/Preventive Action for assigned product in collaboration with cross functional teams.
- Participate in Internal Audits and ensure compliance to all necessary laws, regulations, and corporate policies.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in related discipline Supply Chain or Management Information Systems or 2 years experience in relevant role.
- Sound knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures including manufacturing planning, demand, and replenishment processes.
- Strategic thinker, strong analytical skills, able to synthesize considerable and complex data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel desired).
- Strong communication, organization skills.
- Has experience and the ability manage complexity and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities.
- Ability to work in a team setting and in a cross-functional environment.
