**About the role**

The Team Captain, Operations will supervise, and support the activities of the Operations Team, including the unboxing/boxing, processing, and dock areas, as well as the Inventory Team with inbound, storage, organizing and the picking of finished goods inventory. S/he will oversee the daily team's production activity and facilitate departmental workflow. S/he will also assemble data, make supply chain decisions, analyze performance, identify problems, and develop processes and solutions that support supply chain planning and operations.

**What you'll do**
- Lead the team of Operations Specialists and Inventory in the management of supply chain and finished goods inventory
- Analyze trade velocity of product categories and evaluate inventory levels that each warehouse should have on-hand
- Gather and interpret relevant data from managed warehouse locations (inventory levels, warehouse capacity, costs, productivity, demand patterns, etc.)
- Review inventory levels of packaging materials and work with suppliers to bring in replenishment supplies in a near JIT cadence
- Review inventory levels of finished goods and works with Sales and Marketing to merchandise excess quantities
- Investigates problems, finds root causes, develops and implements solutions
- Develops periodic performance reports and distributes them to stakeholders
- Monitors contract compliance of carriers and other logistics service providers
- Provides analytical support for projects, system implementations, market expansions, geographical expansions, new business opportunities, and proposals
- Coordinates delivery schedules and other supply chain activities
- Helps lead weekly meetings with key suppliers to review actual performance, estimate future demand and resolve operational issues and provides reporting on daily, weekly and monthly key performance metrics
- Establish team member staffing to meet the daily business demands, quality and productivity targets
- Ensure accurate and on-time fulfillment and shipment of all customer orders
- Analyzes production metrics and recommend process and system improvements to increase quality and lower cost
- Supervise and train the team to optimize quality, productivity, and costs
- Develop, implement and maintain standard operating procedures
- Create, maintain and foster a safe and team-based work environment
- Work cross-functionally with all departments to identify, develop and execute on process improvements
- Create layout and people placement for operations areas at the beginning of shifts
- Provide coaching and training to both new team members and those struggling to hit productivity goals
- Troubleshoot team issues or concerns that arise throughout daily shifts
- Manage team workflow throughout daily shifts

**About you**
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, operations, or a related field - preferred
- 2-4 years of work experience in authentication or operations
- Confident in making independent decisions and owning the outcomes
- Comfortable strategizing, managing processes, and executing
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate team members
- Ability to manage large workloads and prioritize tasks
- Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication, and the ability to build trust and consensus amongst a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Slack, and other common basic office software
- Significant experience in operations/warehouse environments
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate team members
- Strong organizational skills and experience with strategizing and delegating tasks
- The sense of urgency to perform tasks to timelines
