**What you'll do**

SAP Design is seeking a passionate and experienced Visual Design Lead/Expert (f/m/d) to join our Web Design System team and help drive the evolution of the SAP Design System. In this role, you will spearhead visual design initiatives, mentor junior designers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent, high-quality user interfaces across all SAP platforms. Your expertise in design language, design tokens, and system scalability will be instrumental in creating a cohesive and future-ready user experience.
- Ensure a consistent and high-quality visual language for SAP’s design system across all platforms
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to integrate the design system into the product lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business goals
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior designers, nurturing their professional growth
- Build relationships and work closely with SAP’s UX community to scale effective designs across the organization
- Stay current with design trends, tools, and technologies to enhance the design system and identify opportunities for innovation
- Maintain and evolve design specifications, guidelines, and tokens, ensuring alignment with accessibility, usability, and branding

**What you bring**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in a design field (e.g., Visual, Graphic, Interface, Industrial, Media)
- 6+ years leading visual design projects for enterprise software ideally in a global setting
- A stunning portfolio showcasing diverse, high-impact designs
- Proven expertise in creating scalable design languages aligned with accessibility, usability, and branding
- Hands-on experience building robust design systems (components, tokens, documentation)
- Skilled at guiding projects end-to-end, mentoring junior talent, and collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Proficient in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and other industry-standard tools
- Very good English skills, German skills are beneficial
