**The Scope of Your Responsibilities**:
- Independent and largely autonomous work on a research project irrespective of the topic
of the doctorate
- Acquisition of third-party funding to develop your own research profile and achieve aca
- demic independence
- Gaining experience in instructing and supervising bachelor's and master's students, doc
Further academic qualification (post-doctoral thesis (Habilitation)) is possible. At least one
- third of working hours is available for in-depth academic work.
The teaching load is based on the requirements of the Teaching Obligations Ordinance
(LehrVV) of the State of Brandenburg, as amended, and the Regulation for Calculating Teach
- ing Load that was passed by the Senate of the University of Potsdam.
**Your Qualifications**:
We are looking for highly motivated academics at an early stage of their career, whose last
doctoral examination may not have taken place more than 3 years ago at the time of applica
- tion, taking into account periods that the applicant spent caring for family members.
Prerequisites are:
- a completed research doctorate,
- an excellent publication record,
- scientific mobility, and
- a competitive and innovative research proposal that is compatible with the research profile
of the University of Potsdam and strengthens one of the university's five research focuses.
