Intern (M/F/d) Pest and Disease Monitoring

As a member of the Phytopathology team of **KWS SAAT SE & Co KGaA** in **Einbeck**, you will provide technical support to implement plant pest and disease monitoring protocols. This involves collecting samples, documenting observations, setting up and supervising insect traps, annotating pictures, and performing various field, lab, or desk tasks.
**Responsibilities**:
You will travel across Germany and Europe to replace sticky cards, catch insects using sweep nets, and collect plant samples. You also need to keep track of our equipment and supplies, ensuring everything is well-organized and stocked. You will take care of insect traps and environmental sensors, ensuring they function correctly. You will need to accurately document your procedures and observations being prepare to present regular reports on your findings to the team.
This is a full-time position for six months, to be filled as soon as possible.
**Bring in your strengths**
- MSc in agricultural or related biological sciences with basic knowledge of plants and insects
- Experience working with protocols is desirable
- Fluency in English, basic knowledge of German is desirable
- A valid a valid driver's license is mandatory for this position. Open for extensive travel within Europe
- Independent, proactive, and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexibility, a problem-solving attitude, empathy, and intercultural awareness
- Efective customer-oriented communication and excellent teamwork skills
