**Who we are**:
**ACGF - Afghan Credit Guarantee Foundation (ACGF)**is a charitable foundation based in Cologne, Germany. Our mission is to **improve access to finance for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Afghanistan** by providing credit guarantees and technical assistance to Partner Financial Institutions (PFIs). Another mission that ACGF pursues is the promotion of development projects to support self-help for local entrepreneurs in Afghanistan.

Established in 2014, ACGF launched its operations in January 2015 as an institutional successor of the Credit Guarantee Facility for Afghanistan (CGF-A). Our funders are DEG - Deutsche Investitions
- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH (member of the KfW Group), the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the World Bank and the European Union. ACGF is supported by its Afghan subsidiary SCSA - SME Client Support Afghanistan LLC.

We are looking for a **Student Assistant (f/m/d)** in Berlin to support our Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) and Data Quality department for **20 hours per week** to start as soon as possible.

**What You'll do**:

- **Data cleansing and validation**: To be involved in the process of cleaning data received from our partner institutions and other stakeholders, as well as cross-checks and validations to ensure the consistency and accuracy of the data processed.
- **Data upload and reporting**: To be involved in the uploading of processed data into the ACGF management information system (MIS) and assist in producing insightful data reports.
- **Data tool developments**: Support the design and improvement of data processing tools using Python and/or Power Query, streamlining data workflows from cleaning to reporting.
- **MIS and Power BI support**: Participate in the team responsible for providing support with ACGF MIS and Power BI - Dashboard.

**Your Profile**:

- You are a **registered student** (Bachelor or Master) at a German university or university of applied sciences, preferably related to data science, computer science, quantitative economics/social sciences, business analytics, statistics or a similar field
- You will **continue your studies** for **at least another 2 semesters**:

- **Prior working experience** (or internships) in the field of **cleaning, processing reporting and/or data analytics** is desired
- Knowledge of** MS Office software**, with advanced level of **MS Excel** (experience with Power Query is a plus)
- Knowledge of **Python** with previous experience of using **data manipulation libraries** such as NumPy and Pandas
- Knowledge of **Power BI**dashboard creation and management would be an advantage
- You are **eager to learn** and **adapt to new software and tools**:

- Demonstrate **strong analytical skills** and a **structured approach to problem-solving**:

- **Excellent communication skills** (oral and in writing)
- **Excellent command of English language** is a prerequisite, German and/or other language would be an advantage
- Ability to **integrate in a multi-cultural environment**:
