Loan Officer, Vice President

Why this role is important to us
- Develop and manage a Fund Finance loan portfolio focused on European highly regulated funds (UCITs), lightly regulated funds and unregulated funds (such as private equity funds, funds of hedge funds).
- Responsible for portfolio management, credit underwriting, client management and risk management.
- Global Credit Finance is State Street’s lending division, and the business extends credit to clients from a wide range of products and industries including Fund Finance, Commercial Real Estate, Leveraged Loans, Municipal Finance and Stable Value Wrap.

What you will be responsible for
- As Loan Officer you will- Structure, underwrite, negotiate and manage Fund Finance credit arrangements for new business and renewals of existing credits for assigned transactions/relationships.-
- Work closely with State Street’s Global Client Division, Client Management RM and Sales teams to identify and develop new business opportunities and ensure client retention.-
- Execution and closing of new transactions / renewal of existing credit lines.-
- Provide effective portfolio oversight and management reporting.-
- Ensure smooth and diligent on-boarding of all new clients including compliance with the AML policies.-
- Engage effectively with clients and prospects.-
- Stay abreast of industry trends and developments in the Fund Finance Loan Market.-
- Communicate effectively on specific business initiatives and transactions.-
- Demonstrate the ‘Risk Excellence’ culture in behaviorEducation & Preferred Qualifications- Preferred degree in Business, Economics or Finance;-
- MBA or CFA a plus but not required.What we value
- These skills and experience will help you succeed in this role- Minimum of 10+ years of commercial lending/credit/structuring experience-
- Lending industry knowledge and experience in credit structuring and relationship management.-
- Demonstrated expertise in credit markets, commercial loan structuring, risk assessment, and loan legal documentation.-
- Strong analytical, credit underwriting and problem-solving skills.-
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.-
- Ability to develop credit relationships within and outside of the Bank.-
- A positive attitude, a client service mindset and high level of attention to detail.-
- Strong excel skills and prior Salesforce experience is desirable.Additional requirements- Commercial lending experience.-
- Ability to work and transact across multiple domiciles and time-zones.-
- Detail oriented and methodical.-
