We are a high-tech company and leading supplier to the semiconductor industry. We manufacture the complex lithography machines that chip manufacturers use to produce integrated circuits or computer chips. What we do is at the heart of all electronic devices that inform, entertain and connect us. More than 1.400 employees develop and manufacture key components for ASML lithography systems at our facility in Berlin.
This position’s responsibilities include managing various suppliers of single parts or complex devices. These suppliers provide drawing-based plastic and/or metal parts.
An important part of this position will be developing new suppliers in addition to maintaining existing supplier relationships as well as optimizing existing agreements. This will be done in close coordination with stakeholders within the company (Design, project managers, etc.) and the Logistic Supplier Manager (LSM) with the team.

Role and responsibilitiesStrategic purchasing responsibility for a defined product group and project area
-Experience in purchasing tooling/equipment, specific components for tools, and complex tools
-Understanding of technical drawings
-Knowledge of e-procurement, ideally the SAP Ariba environment
-Analysis of procurement markets and technologies and working out purchasing and commodity group strategies
-Identification and realization of savings potentials
-Execution of tenders, price negotiations and contract design
-Close cooperation with the relevant departments and the operative Purchasing department
-Optimization of existing supply chain processes and participation in project teams
-Processing and mapping of procurements in SAP and/or electronic ordering systems
-Contact with the Finance department and other related departments

Education and experienceCompleted degree (bachelor) in industrial or mechanical engineering or a similar field with additional qualification in business management
-First professional experience in strategic purchasing

-Sound knowledge in the use of MS-Office, knowledge of SAP
-Negotiation skills and entrepreneurial thinking
-Independent and result-oriented way of working
-Very good proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken
