KGaA**is seeking a **scientist**(M/F/d) in the area of** pre-breeding**in **rapeseed breeding**. In this role, you will work as part of an international team of plant breeders and scientists. This diverse position is **limited** to 1.5 years as a maternity leave replacement and is to be filled** full-time**. The role is based at our headquarters in **Einbeck**, Lower Saxony. Join our team and help shape the future of rapeseed breeding **Your exciting responsibilities in this role**: - Implementation, analyses, and improvement of oilseed rape pre-breeding programs, particularly regarding resistance to insect pests and diseases. - Establishment, design, and evaluation of field and greenhouse trials. - Participation in external and internal research projects. - Application and evaluation of molecular markers in pre-breeding programs. - Process optimization in breeding programs. **Bring in your strengths**: - Completed studies in the field of plant breeding, forestry or biology. - Solid knowledge in plant breeding and plant pathology. - Good knowledge of quantitative genetics and statistics. - Distinct ability to work in a team and high sense of responsibility. - Independent working style and ability to think conceptually. - Very good knowledge of English.
