The Hedging & Margin Controlling CAO CE team is situated in the controlling department at RWE Supply & Trading GmbH (RWEST). The team is responsible for the risk controlling for the Commercial Asset Optimisation Central Europe’s hedging desk and the calculation, analysis and reporting of the generation margin for the renewable as well as conventional assets of RWE. As such, the team is both, a market risk and margin controlling team. The team has a strong cross-collaboration with many teams across the entire RWE group. This provides the opportunity to gain insight into RWE’s core business.

**About the role**
- Actively support initiatives for continuous improvement and optimisation of cross-functional processes e.g. for the actuals, forecast and variance-analysis processes.
- Implement automated data processing steps in the team’s SQL database.Collaborate in the creation and implementation of analysis tools, reports and KPIs for financial data from the hedging desk and the generation margin of RWE’s assets.

**Job requirements and experience**
- Student preferably in the field of engineering, economics, business administration, mathematics or science (min. 4th semester) with focus on risk management, finance or related analytical topics.
- IT / Programming affinity and experience.
- Analytical problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new tasks quickly.
- Hands-on mentality and committed working ethic.
- Strong communication skills and excellent command in spoken and written English (or German).Distinct social competence and ability to work in a team.

**Advantageous, but not essential**
- First practical experience in the energy or financial industry.Programming skills in SQL or similar languages e.g. Python, VBA or alike.
