About the Department & Team:
For our Cologne based London Market Risks (LMR) Team we are recruiting for a full-time Underwriting Assistant. LMR is a Global Product Line within Liberty Mutual Reinsurance (LM Re) and is comprised of non-proportional treaty reinsurance and retrocession business. The clientele ranges from Lloyd’s Syndicates and London Market companies to Global Players and medium-sized local Reinsurers.
- This is an opportunity to learn and develop technical underwriting skills with the help of the LMR team and the internal Learning and Development department.

We are a recognised lead market for specific products including Global Property Cat Retrocession, Property Risk, Terrorism, Marine, Energy and Personal Accident as well as Whole Account or Umbrella protections combining some of these classes into dedicated solutions for our customers. Strong customer/broker relationships, continuity, reliability, flexibility and a responsive claims service are some of our key business principles and cornerstones of our success.

Key Responsibilities:

- Register incoming offers and administer Document Management Processes to agreed standards.
- Data capture, completion and verification in Underwriting Tools and Databases.
- Review and compilation of contract documentation (slip, wording, endorsement, contract certainty checks).
- Support Benchmark Pricing & Liberty Rate Monitoring Systems (LRMS) for LMR.
- Preparation of information for client meetings
- Monitor key exposures and keep underwriters informed of movements.
- Improvement of data recording / capturing and continuous monitoring of the account.

- Fluent in English and German.
