**What you will do**
- You will mainly collaborate with us on research projects in **AutoML** - usually with the goal of a publication. The first project focuses on **interactive** and **explainable AutoML**, **interactive data labelling **and **model monitoring for object detection **and **time series anomaly detection**:

- You **benchmark** existing **AutoML frameworks** and work with us on **extending** them by implementing methods that allow interactive user input and methods that explain and visualize the AutoML process
- You **conduct** and **summarize** research on different topics related to AutoML and possibly interactive labelling
- You perform classical data science tasks such as **data exploration**, **data cleaning**, **data analysis** and **visualization**:

- You **support** us in practical **Machine Learning industry projects** and **administrative tasks**

**What you bring to the table**
- You are currently studying **computer science**, **mathematics**, **data science** or a **related field**:

- You have experience in **Python** (especially ML frameworks like PyTorch, sklearn, etc.)
- You have worked with **image data** and/or **time series data** before
- You have a good understanding of concepts in **ML** and **Statistics**:

- You are interested in current **ML research**, **AutoML** and **explainable ML**:

- You show **initiative **and an **independent **way of **working**:

- You have excellent **English skills** or **excellent German skills** and **solid English skills**:

- Optional: You have worked with R before

Weekly working hours are determined by agreement. You can start from now on (as a student assistant up to **20** hours a week). You can reduce your hours before exams and increase them during semester breaks. You can flexibly determine the working days. After your studies, you have the option of working with us full or part time.
