Fem (Finite Element Model) Working Student (M/F/d)

**The Mission**:
Therefore, we are looking for a talented Working Student to support us with the conduction of FEM simulations and validation of the structural design. S/he/they will be joining a very motivated and highly enthusiastic team of experts in the fields of mechanical and test engineering, as well as optics, electronics, spacecraft, and software engineering.
**What you’ll be doing**:
As a Mechanical FEM Simulation Working Student, you will:
- Support the validation of the satellite’s structural design.
- Support the creation of structural FEM models of satellites and their components.
- Review and interpret analysis results to ensure the project’s success and convert them into design optimization suggestions.
- Help in defining vibration and other mechanical tests on satellites and components.
- Participate in mechanical tests, analyze their results, and correlate the findings with the collected test data.
- Interface with internal and external parties in the context of project reviews and test campaigns.
- Prepare reports and documentation of analyses.
**Relevant skills**:
- University B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar. Focus on structural analysis or lightweight structures is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in the following categories:
- Structural simulation using FEM (Abaqus FEA experience is a plus).
- Experience in the field of structural calculation/analytical verification.
- Understanding of vibration testing.
- Mechanical design (Solidworks experience is a plus).
- Knowledge about space tests and qualification standards.
- Experience in another testing (TVAC) or simulation fields (thermal, optics) is a plus.
- Experience in data analysis with Python is a plus.
- Proactive attitude to problem-solving.
