Berlin, Deutschland Submariner Network for Blue Growth EEIG Vollzeit

sPro - sustainable-projects is a consultancy specialized in the coordination of transnational projects, mostly funded by the European Commission. Our topical focus lies in projects dealing with the sustainable use of the sea. We run the permanent secretariat of the SUBMARINER Network for Blue Growth and act as coordinators of the EU Mission Ocean in the Baltic and North Sea. SUBMARINER is the cooperation platform for actors/initiatives across the Baltic Sea Region and beyond who promote innovative and sustainable uses of marine resources.
We have a long-term portfolio of over 30 large-scale projects and operate with an extensive network of trusted cooperation partners from all European countries, encompassing research, industry, business development, NGOs, and the public sector. We currently have 35 employees coming from a wide range of different academic backgrounds with more than 15 different nationalities.
In this role, limited to 31 October 2025 you would support in the organization of the EU’s Algae Awareness Summit (16-17 October), which will be taking place in Berlin this autumn.
Tasks
- Support the coordination and logistics of conference planning activities
- Assist with communication and correspondence with speakers, participants, and partners
- Maintain and update registration lists and contact database
- Help prepare conference materials (e.g. name tags, programs, participant folders)
- Assist with travel and accommodation arrangements for speakers and guests
- Coordinate with suppliers and service providers (e.g. catering, venues, tech support)
- Contribute to the management of the conference registration page
- Provide on-site support during the conference (registration desk, room monitoring, timekeeping, technical setup)
- Perform general administrative tasks as needed

**Requirements**:

- You are resident in Germany and enrolled in university for the duration of the employment.
- You are a fluent in both German and English (C1).
- Digital native with good knowledge of the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and able to create attractive digital content (e.g. Canva, InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator).
- You are a fast learner with an agile mindset and can easily switch between conflicting tasks and priorities. You are proactive and solution oriented.
- You are motivated, flexible, and open-minded, and feel comfortable in a multicultural environment. You communicate effectively and enjoy working together with colleagues and project partners.
- A general understanding of European political processes and institutions, especially around sustainability, climate and environmental protection is a plus, but not mandatory.
- You can work well in a fast-paced environment, on a variety of different tasks.
