Working Student for Data Science in Finance (f/m/d)

**Your responsibilities**:

- Join our Digital Finance & Information Excellence team, where we digitize Accounting and Financial Controlling. Our mission is to build a cutting-edge financial organization by integrating advanced technology with the expertise of related departments—be a part of this transformative journey
- Support the improvement of processes and operations in Corporate Finance (Accounting and Controlling) through data-driven approaches
- Assist in designing and developing scalable prototypes and proof-of-concepts using financial data, KPIs, and written information
- Contribute to research on new methods and libraries as well as cloud solutions
- Collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders to explore implementation paths for your ideas
- Participate in the lifecycle of data science initiatives - from ideation to prototyping - in environments such as MS Azure, Snowflake, or Databricks
- Help prepare training materials and documentation to support data literacy and AI awareness across teams
- Engage with Uniper’s AI and digitization community to stay informed and share insights

**Your profile**:

- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Engineering, or a related field
- First experience in programming (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and data analysis
- Curiosity about machine learning, natural language processing, or large language models
- Interest in financial topics such as accounting or controlling is a plus
- Ability to explain complex topics in a simple way
- Proactive mindset and willingness to learn and contribute to real-world projects
- Fluent in English; German is a plus
