About the Role

Harman’s Corporate Strategy team drives the long-term plan and goals for Harman. The Director Corporate Strategy Automotive will lead and support strategic projects in close collaboration with the Automotive Division. Projects will include assessment of inorganic-growth targets, the support of due diligence processes, the development of BU strategies as internal “strategy consultant” on behalf of the business or the development of strategic technology partnerships.

What You Will Do
- Drive and manage Strategy Projects on behalf of the HARMAN Automotive division (internal strategic consulting)
- Lead strategic discussions on key aspects of the business and deliver deep insights & recommendations. Provide critical thinking and strategic framework for analyzing key business issues as well as growth and investment opportunities.
- Head external evaluation process for potential inorganic targets in collaboration with the Automotive division BUs comprising of outside-in due diligence, assessment of competitive performance of targets, and development of synergy cases
- Drive discussions and negotiate partnerships (senior management level) with strategic technology partners in collaboration with the responsible BU and purchasing
- Lead structured and strategically aligned investment proposals and facilitate the decision-making process for initiating inorganic activity
- Support PMI project, e.g. development of integration concepts, lead project office
- Develop selectively in-depth market and competitive intelligence for defined search fields and strategic focus areas
- Build and maintain pipeline of inorganic opportunities as well as productive relationships with consultants, industry analysts and investment bankers

What You Need
- Masters or Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in the Automotive and/or Semiconductor industry and/or Strategy Consulting, e.g. as product manager, business developer, consultant
- Experience in managing and leading large strategy projects
- Expertise in EE-Architectures, ADAS, Automotive SW stacks
- Strong leadership, ownership of results, influencing and collaboration skills
- Previous experience working within a global matrixed organization
- Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal and have the drive to push the shared goal to conclusion. High level of motivation and determination.
- Impactful communication skills, both written and verbal with an ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences

What is Nice to Have
- MBA
- 5+ years’ experience in a Strategy Consulting with emphasis on Automotive
- Strong network in the Automotive Industry

What Makes You Eligible
- Be willing to travel up to 25%, domestic and international travel
