- About the Role
- The position holder is responsible for building and leading HARMAN’s product security strategy, security policy implementation, compliance and continuous improvement of the Harman Security Development Lifecycle (SDL) for Automotive. A strong collaboration within and outside of the Automotive Division is necessary to align on overall Harman Security Strategy, process, methodologies and R&Rs. In this role, you will interface with all Automotive Teams engineering teams to execute the cyber security strategy globally to improve HARMAN’s Automotive Division security posture.

Your Team
- Responsible for about 6-10 Architects, Engineers and Program Managers and up to 50 indirect reports

What You Will Do- Lead strategic direction for Automotive Cyber Security including incident response, vulnerability management and Key Management System (KMS)Ensure that all needed expertise and skills are available to support the SBUs in security relevant topics-
- Drives the compliance, deployment and continuous improvement of the SDL governance structure/framework within Automotive Business Units-
- Lead the Automotive Cyber Security office in creating templates, work instructions and training materials required as part of the Security Development Lifecycle (SDL)-
- Build a holistic and strong Security network across Harman; including R&R definition outside of Automotive (e.g. DigITal, Manufacturing, Procurement)-
- Represent HARMAN publicly and drive thought leadership with the Automotive ISAC (Information Sharing and Analysis Center) to promote information sharing and analysisWhat You Need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent-
- 8+ years related technical experience-
- 12+ years in a leadership of global teams in an automotive environment-
- Detailed understanding of information security, malware analysis, network threats and related security controls-
- Deep understanding of security related development processes in the automotive industry-
- Knowledge of governance risk and security compliance-
- Must be able to articulate vision and influence decision making outcomes with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and customers- What is Nice to Have- Experience of security relevant technologies in non-automotive environmentsWhat Makes You Eligible- Be willing to travel up to 30%, domestic and international travel-
