Als zukünftiger Vice President in Global Sanctions & Embargoes Regulation and Policy arbeiten Sie eng mit dem Management und den Beschäftigenten aller Regionen, Geschäftsbereiche und Funktionen and zusammen; immer mit dem Ziel, Sanktionsentwicklungen zu identifizieren, zu bewerten und die richtigen Schritte hieraus für die Sanktionsrichtlinie und die darunter liegenden Dokumente abzuleiten und schließlich ein angemessenes, risikobasiertes und kosteneffektives Kontrollumfeld aufrecht zu erhalten.

**Aufgaben**:

- Überwachung und Bewertung von relevanten Entwicklungen im Sanktionsrecht
- Definition, Auslegung, Aktualisierung und weiterführende Erläuterungen der Sanktionsrichtlinie und relevanten nachgeordneten Dokumenten
- Durchführen von sanktionsrelevanten Kommunikationen und Schulungen
- Zusammenarbeit Behörden und Industrieverbänden, insbesondere aber nicht nur in Deutschland
- Vertretung der Funktion in relevanten Bankprogrammen, sowie bei internen und externen Prüfungen

**Persönliche Anforderungen**:

- Abschluss: Zweites Juristisches Staatsexamen oder vergleichbarer Abschluss.
- Gute Sanktionsrechts-Kenntnisse, mögliches in mehreren Jurisdiktionen wie EU, US und UK.
- Sehr gute Fertigkeiten beim Verfassen von Richtlinien und vergleichbaren Dokumenten sowie ausgezeichnete Kommunikationsfähigkeiten insb. bei der Einbeziehung von Interessengruppen und im Austausch mit sanktionsrelevanten Behörden z.B. in Sanktionsprüfungen.
- Ausgezeichnete analytische Fähigkeiten beim Erkennen und Bewerten AFC Risiken (rechtlich, operativ, Reputation) insb. mit Blick auf Sanktionen, sowie die Fähigkeit, schnell angemessene, kreative und operativ überzeugend Lösungen zu entwickeln.
- Arbeitssprachen Deutsch und Englisch.

**About the Job**

DB Group examines its Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) strategies, goals and objectives on an ongoing basis and maintains an effective programme for DB’s business that reflects the best practices for a diversified, global financial services provider.

As a future Vice President in Global Sanctions & Embargoes Regulation and Policy, you will work closely with senior management and staff across all regions, businesses and functions as well as with relevant sanctions authorities and industry associations in order to identify relevant sanctions developments and respond to these through the S&E Policy and Procedural Framework with a view to achieve an appropriate, risk-based and cost-effective control environment for S&E.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Monitoring and assessing relevant regulatory sanctions developments;
- Defining, interpreting, updating and providing guidance on Global Sanctions & Embargoes Policies and relevant procedures;
- Conducting sanctions related communications and training;
- Engaging with industry, government or regulatory bodies, specifically but not limited to Germany;
- Representing S&E in relevant broader/bank-wide stakeholder initiatives/programmes and internal/external audits

**Person specification**:

- Degree: Second legal state exam in Germany or comparable university degree in law.
- Good knowledge of sanctions laws, ideally in several jurisdictions such as EU, US and UK.
- Excellent analytical skills in identifying and assessing financial crime risk (regulatory, reputational, operational), specifically in S&E and ability to offer and design creative and workable solution alternatives.
- Strong policy and procedure drafting and excellent communications and stakeholder engagement skills, including with sanctions authorities in e.g. sanctions audits.
