As student worker you are part of the Sphera team responsible to create reliable and state of the art Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) data - the Managed LCA Content (MLC) team. In your role you will provide operational support to the team to execute their tasks.

The team develops and maintains the world leading MLC databases as part of the world leading LCA tool - LCA for Experts (LCA FE formally known as GaBi). Providing unique Data-on-Demand Service, supporting Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) project and keeping existing LCA data current supports our customers to achieve their ESG/Sustainability Goals, Sustainability reporting objectives (connected to the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive - CSRD) and product sustainability targets (connected to Ecodesign for sustainable products regulations - ESPR).

Goals
- Support team in administration of department tasks
- Support team in developing the world leading MLC databases (formerly GaBi databases) and data sets as well as providing the unique Data-on-Demand service and supporting client projects
- Support the annual content upgrade of our database, including the development and adaptation of LCA models in the LCA for Experts Software (LCA FE - formerly GaBi software)
- Support the team in the general creation of LCA models in MLC: research data, prepare models, evaluate data

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage administrative and operational task as advised by department lead or defined team members
- Work according to the process based on the “Scrum” methodology supporting the teams daily work items
- Learn LCA and PCF modeling principles and support team in performing these activities
- Support internal and external customer related projects

**Qualifications**:
You´re searching for experience in the product related and corporate sustainability. You bring a passion in technical details, databases, IT systems, data systems. You are eager to learn more on how sustainability, life cycle thinking, product sustainability, regulatory developments and climate change play an important role in the market. You want to engage into how companies can be supported in their transition to more sustainable business practices. Then we are looking for you
- Studying engineering, natural sciences, (sustainable) business administration or similar studies with a connection to sustainable development
- Interest in dealing with technical details of sustainability databases
- Structured and disciplined in the day-to-day organization of work
- Analytical skills
- Affinity for team work, as well as ability to work independently and responsibly
- Capability to use standard office tools (Work, Excel, Access / Office 365)
- Databased, IT programming, data visualization and/or project management skills are beneficial
- Fluent German and English
