Are you looking for a new challenge in an environment where no two days are the same?

We are seeking an enthusiastic, confident, flexible and self-motivated individual to join our extremely busy Environmental Enforcement team. You will be part of a team whose work includes the investigation of a range of issues from fly tipping to untidy land to illegal street traders. In addition to this, you will assist with investigating unlicensed waste carriers & scrap metal collectors / sites. You will also assist in the delivery of the Litter Enforcement Contract.

Day to day, you will work independently to conduct investigations and take proportionate enforcement action in cases of non-compliance. Where required, you will also prepare cases for legal proceedings.

You must hold a full driving licence & access to a vehicle that is insured for business use for which the appropriate allowance will be paid.

The team is committed to providing an excellent service to our residents, the business community and our partners. Applicants must have strong communication and interpersonal skills to be able to deal with a wide range of customers in different and at times challenging situations. It is essential you have a ‘can do’ work attitude, be self-motivated and willing to get involved in different work streams and take initiative. You must be able to take responsibility for a varied caseload and be committed to team working.
