**Your Role**
As a **Technologist** in the **Analytical Research Center - Volatiles Group**, you will be responsible for operating and supporting analytical instruments, with a focus on **gas chromatography (GC)**and instrument combinations. You will conduct sample preparation, method development, and validation while summarizing and evaluating analytical results. Your role will also involve reporting findings, communicating with project partners, and supporting cross-functional teams.
- Operate and maintain analytical instruments, particularly in the field of **volatile compound analysis (GC)**.
- Develop, validate, and optimize analytical methods.
- Prepare and analyze samples with high precision.
- Summarize and evaluate analytical data, generate reports, and communicate results to internal stakeholders.
- Supervise projects and provide support to project managers.
- Collaborate with other **Research & Technology (R&T) teams** and cross-functional divisions, contributing expertise in specialized sample preparation and analytical methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and laboratory best practices.
**About You**
- Completed training as a chemical technician or chemical laboratory technician, or a degree in Analytical Chemistry, Food Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Practical experience with **gas chromatography (GC, GC-MS, or related techniques)**.
- Strong knowledge of **method development and validation** in analytical research.
- Experience in sample preparation techniques for volatile analysis.
- Ability to interpret and evaluate analytical data with accuracy.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with project partners and teams.
- Experience in **instrument maintenance and troubleshooting** is a plus.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in English and German.
