Data Centre Lead

In your role as Senior Consultant - Data Center Lead, you will play a key role in handling Data Center Service management for one of the major automotive Clients and keeping its production process up and running. You will ensure the infrastructure's functionality and keep track of requests and tickets related to Infra operations. In addition, you will coordinate change processes (change management) and play a key role in both problem definition and overall solution development. With a team of 5-7 other employees, you are not only a thought leader in your field but also the most important consultant and point of contact for our customers. As a very important "point of contact," you provide the necessary support and information. In addition, you will lead your team in project processes as well as the development and delivery of deliverables. In your role, it is essential to always consider both sides - the customer's perspective and that of the technical team. With excellent analytical skills and a knack for tackling problems head-on, you will find the right solution for all stakeholders and effectively put it into action **Responsibilities**: - Monitor all software and hardware products and ensure compliance with Data Center standards and systems. - Administer installation and maintenance of organization data center. - Monitor all activities related to analysis and implement all data center plans. - Supervise designing and evaluating all server systems according to process measurement. - Perform troubleshooting on data center, identify issues and assist in timely resolution of same. - Manage and perform research to design new advanced data centers. - Ensure adherence to all established guidelines and management practices for employees. - Coordinate with various departments and perform integration of critical systems into infrastructure. - Coordinate with IT, enhancement, and business teams and develop strategies to ensure the achievement of data center capacity. - Ensure client satisfaction and provide an optimal level of customer service for various departments. - Maintain effective professional relationships with IT relationship managers. - Maintain expert knowledge of all business procedures associated with assets and capacity. - Monitor all functional resources required for growth and ensure appropriate working. - Prepare plans for the development and installation of a data center according to present and future requirements. Skillsets required - Good understanding of VM, OS, Network, storage, and general data center technologies. - Extensive knowledge of all types of Unix / Linux and Windows Flavors - Strong knowledge of Storage, Backup, and Networking - DELL EMC Networker, VEEAM, Veritas NetBackup, Linux and Windows Administration Intermediate Level - High analytical skills - A high degree of initiative and flexibility - High customer orientation - High-quality awareness - Excellent verbal and written communication skills Qualifications required - Experience working in data center environments, including building and operating large-scale infrastructure. - Fluency in English & understanding of German - Experience with Linux/Unix system administration, backup, and storage working in data centers, and building out infrastructure. - Experience with initiating and executing strategic initiatives in a global environment. - Knowledge of networks and computer hardware architecture, including maintenance and repair. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Demonstrated passion for operations and people management **Job Types**: Full-time, Contract Contract length: 6 months **Salary**: 500.00€ per day Ability to commute/relocate: - Germersheim: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
