**The Position**:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and creative scientist to join the Analytical Development department at Boehringer Ingelheim in Biberach. Dissolution plays an integral role in the quality control of pharmaceutical dosage forms such as tablets, capsules but also for long-acting injectable formulations. In our experienced team we develop innovative new dissolution methods to face current and future challenges.
The position will involve investigating new technologies and techniques that focus on dissolution of long-acting injectable formulations. With your scientific expertise and innovative ideas, you will contribute to a successful development of new pharmaceutical dosage forms and represent dissolution in our project teams.
This position is part time eligible with 80%.
**Tasks & responsibilities**:
- As Senior Scientist Dissolution you will develop, evaluate, and implement novel analytical tools for in vitro dissolution tests e.g., QC and accelerated of different long-acting injectable formulations.
- Furthermore, you will be responsible for various development projects regarding all aspects of in vitro dissolution of long-acting injectable formulations.
- Supporting dissolution method transfer for long acting injectables and author transfer documents will be one of your main tasks.
- Your good knowledge in drug regulatory affairs will help you in authoring submission documents and answer questions from health authorities.
- Moreover, you will represent the head of dissolution laboratory in project teams and towards external partners as stand in.
- Your valuable contribution as an expert concerning dissolution of long-acting injectables in internal and external working groups will also be part of this position.
**Requirements**:
- Doctoral Degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Food Chemistry, or related fields with wide experience in dissolution and various analytical tools e.g., HPLC, UV-spectroscopy, particle size characterization, imaging
- Long-term experience in pharmaceutical industry or related fields
- Excellent knowledge and practical experience in the development of dissolution methods for solid oral dosage forms and long acting injectables.
- Broad and solid basic knowledge of chemistry, physics, pharmacy as well as good knowledge of drug development and approval
- Fluency in English and German written and spoken
